I am looking for a way to make a copy of a workpiece without having to draw the workpiece in CAD.

I haven’t seen anything like that. But it might work if you drove the machine from mach3.

Regarding mach3 is there anything out there what I need todo to drive the mpcnc what will be the cost to convert?

Well… You’ll need a PC with an old-school parallel port, a breakout box for said parallel port, some drivers for your motors, and then you’re set. Probably several hundred bucks, new.
