611 plate

Anyone had any success printing the 611 plate? I’m having a hard time finding 1/4 plywood that doesn’t warp.

I haven’t tried printing the 611 plate, however…

I used 1/4" baltic birch for mine, which is pretty nice stuff, and tends to stay fairly flat, but I think that bolting the router and printed parts to it might be enough to straighten it out. Also, 1/4" Plexiglas would work well too. I’m sure there are other suitable materials as well

If you’re gonna do it, consider going 100% infill. I printed one to drive a diode laser around with 3 walls and 40% or something. Super flexy.

The plate is so constrained it really does not matter. If you look at it the router itself is doing most of the holding, than directly next to it is the X Rollers so there is bout 1/2" of actual material between screws before it get transfer to a rail. Even the stepper is very close to a rail. The unused area is not even really needed. This part could probably be printed if you put a little extra infill went a bit thicker and counter sunk the screws.
