I had never looked into it, titanium is pretty soft…wow. Cool, thanks Barry. I am going to close that tab now, No titanium for me.

That may be dependent on grade. Porsche has offered optional titanium connecting rods on street cars with factory warranties and titanium valves are pretty common in performance engines.

Right, but running a hardened steel bearing over them will still deform the tubes. Steel is generally harder than titanium.
