Sure. I want it to work too.
So, ironically, I left the dual end stop firmware configured, and then connected the steppers back in series, and plugged them respectively into x an y drivers, and all steppers move as expected as well as the homing working with the end stops!!!
Will it be OK to run it like this?
You have them wired in series now? That will be fine but the homing isn’t auto squaring.

So why would all steppers move now, when X1 and Y1 don’t move when connected to X and Y alone? I would expect that none of the X and Y steppers would move now.
Shouldn’t be the end stops wired for normally closed. The soft reports that they are open.
