aluminum coupler?

I see the new kits have an aluminum coupler and leadscrew.

“The current kit includes an aluminum coupler and leadscrew.”

I have the older pineapple version. Is the new version a significant improvement? I mean should I try to get this upgrade ASAP or is it just a marginal improvement.

I wouldn’t bother. The main update is Z axis speed, rarely used in milling.

good Z speed will be good on 3D milling a figure or shape with lots of different Z heights, like this :
