And the Adventure Begins

God help me…

Just cut my crown and feeling kinda proud right now! So very happy that I came across this site in my search for a DIY CNC. There is such a wealth of knowledge and it’s entertaining, too.

It’s been a long-time dream of mine to build a CNC, but the barrier of cost has always been just a bit too much to overcome for me to justify doing it for fun. I want to thank Ryan for designing this fantastic machine so that it was now within my reach. I want to give special thanks to Jeffeb3 for helping me get my firmware adjusted for the 20 tooth pulleys I had to use. Judging from the crown, I think it worked.

Next steps are to figure out dust-collection and power supply location. I’m planning on running dust-collection hose and power for the spindle from the ceiling.

Can’t wait to go down this rabbit-hole and see where it leads!
