Azteeg X5 MiniWIFI

Do you see any reason why I couldn’t use the Azteeg X5 Mini WIFI with SD2224 stepper drivers? My 3D printer is almost silent when printing. The only thing that makes noise is the extruder fan. I’m using 4 Nema 17 stepper motors on my 3D printer.

It should be fine. You’ll need to configure it. Some possible gotchas:

  • it’s core xy.
  • no temperature sensors. Marlin let’s you put in a dummy one.
  • it homes x, then y (i think). Homing in the wrong order will miss the endstop

It will be interesting to see if that makes it quiet.
