Really wanted to have zero dust cutting, built this thing.
Got it on to find out that X axis stepper is skipping 
they whey that you have this strips is making quite a lot resist try 90 degre to table
My thought was that 90 degree would affect Z axis on the plunge.
On X axis you have one motor, on Z axis you have two motors + weight.
Would you be willing to share the model for your dust shoe? Thanks!

I’m using craft foam for the skirt which hasn’t interfered with the movement. I was thinking about designing a version with bristles but i’m wondering if I’ll run into the same problem as you.
