Serial error: could not open port ‘COM3’: FileNotFoundError(2, ‘The system cannot find the file specified.’, None, 2)
the only thing that has changed is the computer the one i was using crashed now using windows 10 64bit would this be causing my problem any ideas would be appreciated

changed the usb cable
changed computer but still windows 10
changed the com port
changed the com port number

dont know what else to do

It’s entirely possible that the board is not being connected as “COM3:”

If you look in the Device Manager under the Control Panel, it should list the SKR board, and list a USB Com Port and tell you what port number it is. If you get a “USB Serial” device with a yellow triangle exclamation point, then Windows did not recognize the board’s serial interface, and you’ll need to find drivers for the board.

V1 maintained firmware usually uses 250000 baud as the communications rate. I used 115200 baud for my laser because the ESP32 uses 115200 baud for it’s boot communications, so it makes sense to use that the whole time. My Primo, LowRider, ZenXY and MP3DP all use 250000.

Appears to be a duplicate post. Solved in the SKR thread by uninstalling Repetier host.
