This thing is a work of art. Fun just to watch it print. 70/30/70

Hope you didn’t stay the 23h12 watching it

That reminds me of someone pointing out that they would never watch a 13hr movie, but would gladly binge 13 episodes of some drama. Maybe we just need to add a “are you still watching?” Dialog to the printer to keep it interesting. Maybe we need cliff hanger plot hooks too.

Like when the nozzle drops a blob, then the blob sticks and the nozzle hits it on the next pass?

Is it gonna knock the print over?
Is it going to hang up and skip steps?
WHAT’S IT GONNA DO???

Or what happened just now with my printer: it just crashes into the bed and pushes it down and complains about debris on the nozzle… muuum, heeelp meee

Yo, a talking printer.
NO a sentient printer.
NO A SELF AWARE PRINTER!!!

Maybe one that doesn’t particularly like being given tedious jobs by new operators who don’t understand printing, then leave it alone for hours at a time to you’ll and slave away, only to return to a failed job and curse, complain, and blame the printer.

Actually, that would be pretty boring unless the printer could develop some recourse.

You’d have to name it Marvin.

Each time the outer perimeter begins/ends on the leftmost 10% of the model, take a drink.
