I have been using the free version of this for quite some time for my 2d geometry, but they have an offer of the Pro version for $99 this month which is usually $299. The main reason that I would upgrade to the Pro version is that it supports autolisp programs which I have programmed in for years. An interesting feature I see after trying the trial version is that it has a G-code generator for a 2d toolpath. I do not know how well that works, but they do have a 30 day trial of the pro version.
