Egg Bot Design needs short Nema 17 cables

I started working on making an Egg Bot since I had most of the parts for it already. Here is my build log for it. https://openbuilds.com/builds/v-slot-2020-eggbot.9080/

I need some short Nema 17 cables, 12" if possible & wondering if anyone knows where to source them. Even 400mm or 500mm would be better than the 1 Meter I see mostly. I also need the dupont 4 pin connectors for the electronics end since I am using an Arduino UNO with CNC shield. I will just buy the 1 meter lengths if I can’t find shorter ones & cut & splice to length, but thought I would see if anyone here knows of a good source for these. Here is what my Egg Bot looks like so far using 2- V-slot 2020x250mm extrusions. I bet you could also design one of these Egg Bots using EMT.

That cool little think is begging for some custom cables! Can’t go wrong with a little crimp kit, I think they are about $15-$20

Do you have a link to a set you like? I have a set for JST crimping, but not dupont connectors.

I would not say they are amazing, but they do get the job done. These look like mine but I got mine 4 years ago, so maybe these are better? Lots of options with and without optional accessories.

Hopefully someone has a set that is better? Maybe these tiny crimps are just always difficult. I did the first couple hundred wire sets by hand…

I finally found some 30cm & 50cm stepper motor cables on aliexpress. The 30cm are more expensive, but less than me having to buy a crimper to shorter the longer ones.

I also found a CNC shield C4 which uses a Arduino Nano instead of the UNO & makes my Power connection simpler. This one is cheaper on Ebay. There are some other noname versions that are a $1 or so cheaper, but this one seems like it is better made. I also read that this C4 version has some issues with grbl, but shouldn’t be a problem for my situation. I have the Uno/CNC shield C3 to fall back on if this doesn’t work.
