My middle child is buying her first home. My traditional gift is a turned salad bowl, but I didn’t have time to turn-dry-turn a bowl so made a cutting board out of some cherry that we got from a tree that went down in a storm near us back in 2015.
It’s simple, but pretty, and I used the LowRider to engrave the back. Gcode produced by f-engrave. The photos stink because I’m a terrible photographer. The text is pretty small, this whole engraving is about 125mm x 13mm. I practiced on mdf, then a piece of scrap cherry, then got the stones to cut the real board. I think it turned out nice.
