Estlcam Carving: Strange Lines in Toolpath

Hi all!
I’m doing a small sign carving for a local business. I have carved quite a bit, but usually from DXF files. In this case, I am using a JPG image that seemed to load in cleanly. However, on generating GCODE, I get these little lines that pull the tool outward off of the main toolpath.
Anyone have this issue before, or have any insight?

I think I sorted this out…I had accidentally run this as an engraving instead of a carve. More importantly, I ran t he JPG through Illustrator and made an SVG. Much cleaner!
