Estlcam with Pen

I’m just working through these instructions:
https://docs.v1engineering.com/software/estlcam-basics/

I’m just trying to catch the flood of information.
So I apologize if I’m asking twice. But I haven’t found any other questions like that, except for this entry:

1.)
But I cannot find this entry. What is it?

I tried all MenuSettings, but this was not seen. :frowning:
See pic above.

2.)
And then I have the question how to set Estlecam to go over it with a pen only once?
According to the instructions EstlCAM Setup - V1 Engineering Documentation
…he’ll go over my place about six or seven times.

Many thanks in advanced.

That is the tip angle, I believe. The graphic may have changed.

The number of times it goes over it is based on the depth of cut or depth per pass compared to the total depth. If you have the tool set up to take 1mm depth cuts, and you have a toolpath with a total depth of 5mm, it will take 5 loops, dropping down 1mm each time.

Also, it’s easy to accidently create multiple tool paths for the same thing by mistake when you’re new and don’t really understand what Estlcam is doing. You need to remember to switch back into ‘select’ mode to get a normal cursor for selecting things.

Yellow lines are selected. Red lines don’t have a depth, blue do have a depth.

Thank you both for the advice!

Yeah. At some point, someone should go through with a newer version of estlcam and recreate those screenshots.
