Looks sharp. I wonder how it will look when the boards get wet.
Once it’s sealed, it should last a really long time. Something like a table top or door panel would look pretty cool. Though solid wood could have issues with seasonal expansion and contraction.
No reason that you’d have to use solid wood, laminates should do just as well.
Pretty cool. Takes the whole paint the grooves thing up a notch, and you can do colored grout. Add this to my list of “can’t wait to try it”.

Just be careful if you use epoxy grout. It’s probably not as hard to get s mistakes off of wood as tile, but that I learned the hard way that stuff is bullet proof. Also, seal the grout before the wood…
