Hot end temp - very high value.

I have spent the past several days trying to set up my MPCNC as a 3D printer. Today I finally received my hot end from amazon. After I connected everything the hot end temp reads 475.80c. The thermistor is plugged into T0 into the Ramps 1.4 board

Before I plugged in the thermistor the reading was 499, but I was just using my DW660 and didn’t think anythign about it.

Originally I was using the Beta firmware (B16_32_fullG-112515), then changed to Marlin_16_32_090615_therm and repetier didn’t like the high value the thermistor was sending out and gave an error.

Now I am back to B16_32_fullG-112515

Are there additional changes I need to make somewhere?

It seems that my low cost Geeetech Ramps 1.4 thermistor may be the problem. Anyone know what Temp Sensor I should set it to in marlin Configuration.h?
#11 didn’t work,
#1 was suggested on the Geetech Wiki for markin settings, but it only read 24c when melting ABS

I really don’t want to compile this 100 times to try them all.

Thanks again for your help.

There might be a way to test the resistance and figure it out that way. I am not sure it took me more than 5 tries to figure out #11 worked for the extruders I sell.

It looks like its 100Ω at 77f. according to my multi-meter.

I’ll keep trying different settings.
