Jigsaw Puzzle Joint

I bought a 4x8 sheet of foam insulation the other day to practice on. Since my work area is 24x24, I just cut the whole thing up into smaller pieces. As cold as it’s been the last few days, I noticed we have a severe draft in my laundry room. No problem! I have foam I can put in there! Uhh… the window is 32 inches wide… my phone isn’t big enough any longer. Fear not! For many years ago I made some flash jigsaw puzzles, and have a small script that generates SVG puzzle pieces for me. I tweaked it a bit, made it generate one long squiggly line. I converted it to DXF with Inkscape, and then generated two gcode files in Estlcam. One for a right side cut, and one for the left side cut. Now I have a big enough piece of foam to put in the window for now.

Cool… A small amount of detail allows you to experiment with the complexity of the image. And the assembly scheme of such jigsaw puzzles depends on its color scheme and the cutting method.
