Larger Conduit

I’m thinking of buying the MPCNC kit, but I want to make it very large (at least 60"x60"). I’m assuming when you get to sizes like this, the 1" conduit just doesn’t cut it. Would it make sense to use larger conduit (e.g. use 2"/50mm conduit)? If I do that, can I just scale the 3d models to work with that? Do you think that’d make the CNC more stable?

There was one guy who started a build, but he didn’t update in quite a while, you can find it here: 1” EMT conduit Primo XL project 1.163”/29.5mm

If you want it to be that big, you should go for a lowrider, because you could support X and Y, but not the conduit that carries the router itself. This might be a big problem.

There were also people who tried to make it more durable by filling it with concrete and the such, you can find it here: Concrete filled tubing

Scaling won’t work, none of the hardware will fit anymore. For that size, you want a lowrider, that’s what it was designed for.
