Lowrider 2 Rambo Board Dual Z axis endstop problem

I am having trouble getting the Z2 endstop to work. The Z1 works as it should, I want to set it up so the axis homes/ levels like ive seen on some videos.
Any suggestions?

Which firmware? v508 DualLR?

How do you have it wired? You’re not using the second port labelled Z, are you?

Have you tried M119? Does it show Zmax2?

It was the dualLR not sure the version- latest one listed
It’s wired with the individual wire kit.
M119 does not show zmax2
It’s on a rambo 1.4 board

Not sure I’m flashing the correct firmware?

What does M119 show?

What about M115? That should show the version.

I will check and get back to you

The firmware should be ar MarlinBuilder releases.

https://github.com/V1EngineeringInc/MarlinBuilder/releases/download/509/V1CNC_Rambo_DualLR-2.0.7.2-src.zip

This is v509, but v508 should be fine too.

The M119 shows exactly what you described. There is a wiring issue on those two endstops.

Any ideas on what to fix. I am stuck with this thing…

It has to be wiring, or something wrong with the endstops.

Do they show as open when you press them?

Can you swap them with another port and see the problem move with the wiring?

I swapped them to another and they do the same thing. Is it possible to get two bad endtops?

They show triggered all the time

The endstops are dead simple. They usually don’t come broken, but they are also quite cheap and can be broken. Have you confirmed the wiring isn’t broken somewhere?

I will double check in the morning, i think i have 2 different enstops, ill try those and check the wires as well.
I really appreciate your help.

We have success. Found a broken wire at the connector that attaches to the endstop and one of the connections that I taped, separated.

Thanks for your help. I was super frustrated and over looked the basics.

Appreciate your help
