LowRider2 from Croatia

Greetings all,
I have been following and reading a lot in last few months.
Finaly desided to order bundle with printed parts, as 3D printing is all new for me.

I am a carpenter by trade and I was looking how to aquire CNC for some of my projects.

I am no good for codes, lines, Marlin and that stuff ;(, so I will need advices and help…(thank you)

Here is what I ordered for now

  1. Lowrider2 bundle
  2. 6 endstops
  3. 3D printed parts - 25mm
  4. SKR 1.4 turbo
  5. TMC2209 steper drivers x5
  6. BTT TFT35 e3 v3

Question
Is power suply that comes in bundle (12v 6A) suitable for SKR 1.4t and steper motors?

I own multiple hend routers and will use few depending on work I want to do. Mostly cutting plywood or hardwood.

  1. Makita RT700c
  2. Draper 1 1/4 hp - for wich I printed mount

You’re gonna have to get your hands dirty and learn some stuff for the skr turbo. Buying a board from Ryan would save you some trouble. I don’t mean to try to drag you down, I just want to set your expectations. That board will need some work to get running for a CNC.

yep, thats what I am doing after house goes to sleep, every evening
I found few of the guys that already made setups with same board so that helps

I am all for learning, just takes time

Here is update,
It took forever for parts to come (Croatian post issues)
but when it came I did not sleep until all was put together

I used Rob H firmware setup and after some tweaking it all flashed and worked, sort off…
Thank you Rob

I get message “busy processing” after I leave everything powered for few minutes.
Like it goes to sleep mode and cant wake up

Over the weekend I am putting table together
××
Edit
Busy processing comes out when i give him a comand he can not do, like home and there is no endstops… hmm
Need to put all together asap

Progress…
Got stucked on end stops…
I am sure i need to change something just dont know what.
X axis takes long to home
Y axis goes in wrong direction- need to revers it.
Z axis not homing…

Here is video

Weird. What firmware is on it?

Before you try homing make sure:

  1. The direction of all steppers are correct.
  2. The distance of movement in each direction is correct (10mm moves 10mm)
  3. The endstops are triggering when they should and they are on the right ports. You can use the terminal on that screen and send M119.

I wouldn’t think about any of the homing behavior until those three things are perfect.

If you can’t get one of those things working, let’s focus on that.

Thanks,
I had to put whole this aside for a week, busted flex couplers, and got really confused… need few days to went

I used firmware from Rob H, from this forum, he has same setup and for him it all works great.
I never found any pic of the mainboard to see wiring,…

All was moving correct and in good directions.
Problems that i found later is that

  1. left end switch works and right dont,
  2. when pressing home on Z axis it goes up (should go down)
  3. Not detecting Z end switches
  4. Tried drawing some letters and it got them mirrored on Z axis

Busy week in front of me, I hope I get couplers delivered and some wiring so I can redo end swithces again.
Until then I will ask Rob H to send some pics of his board to compare

I don’t have the lowrider but I’m pretty sure z home is supposed to go up and you use the probe function to home down

It depends on the config. But M119 will tell you if it is trying to go up or down on z home.
