Mini Rambo Bootloader Error when compiling?

I’m trying to flash firmware to the mini rambo.

I followed the guide and have everything setup.

however when I tried to verify the sketch I got the following error:

Bootloader file specified but missing: C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Arduino15\packages\rambo\hardware\avr\1.0.0\bootloaders\stk500boot_v2_mega2560.hex

anyone know what I should do to fix this?

Nope, don’t worry. I have a note about this on the firmware page.

I did see your note… however I wasn’t sure if there was an exact bootloader error or I had something different going on.

Long story short I was afraid to upload it in case of ruining something…

I appreciate the clarification.

so I tried uploading and i’m getting this error kicked back:

i’m connected on the correct port, rambo is selected as the board.

If i choose get board info from the tools menu it reads back the BN, VID, PID and SN into the board info window.

but when I try to load the sketch to it I get the below message.

Bootloader file specified but missing: C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Arduino15\packages\rambo\hardware\avr\1.0.0\bootloaders\stk500boot_v2_mega2560.hex

If you bought the board from me it is already flashed, no need to do it again.

Mike those errors are two separate issues, the bootloader is normal, the other means it is not connected, I suspect you don;t have it powered. Unlike the Ramps, the MiniRambo has to have USB AND external power to flash.

I did purchase from you … but was looking to make a couple adjustments.

Good call on not having it powered… I tried again with it powered and ran into another error though…

I reached out to Jason over at ultimachine for some ideas to try hopefully he has an idea what’s wrong/ or what i’m doing wrong.

Thanks for taking the time on this.

What is the error? Did you see my step by step flashing guide?

I think that first error is a bug. And it wont stop you from flashing the mini. I get it everytime and ive flashed mine more than I care to count.
