MPCNC Bootstrapping

A big thank you to Ryan for the hard work he put into this project !
The design is simple and elegant

I’d like to build a MPCNC, but I don’t have access to a 3d printer, and I’m on a tight budget.
I was thinking I could bootstrap one : use the spindle to manually carve rough approximations of the printed parts in wood or plastic. Then print/mill better ones after I get something that works.

I’m pretty sure that would work for the corners pieces, but not so much for the rollers/Z-axis.
Anyone got some experience with that ?

Or are there alternative non-printed designs for the complex parts?

No alternatives yet (I really want to make some millable parts for V2). You can mill the parts but most would take a minimum of 4 turns.
