MPCNC Calibration

Hi Everyone.

I tried Calibration of Step/mm($100,101,102) MPCNC Primo that is too complicated and suggested to find an solution on website,
there are different way to Calibration of CNC and difficult for me to find prefect for MPCNC.

I tried use CNC Axis Setup and Calibration | Tools | xix xeaon but failed.

I tell to UGS X and Y axis from move from 0mm to 100mm and then come back to 0mm,

But UGS tell arduino CNC move over 100mm like unstoppable move and it hit to end switches and alarm appeard.

Note:
my stepper motor’s degrees per step is 0.9.

CNC shield 3.0 mode pins is full microstepper 1/1

Regard

Chris

That is going to result in very clunky movement. I suggest going to 1/16th at least. Or 1/32 if that is easier.

With your motors, 1/1 would be 12.5 steps/mm for XY (with 16T pulleys and GT2 belt) and 50 steps/mm on Z with a 4 start, 2mm pitch leadscrew.

Thank you lots.

I tried increase x, y and z max travel $110,$111 and $112 to increase travel speed.

I tired set from 100 to 100 000 to $110.

Speed didn’t went up, but speed went down is fine.

Is UGS software issues, it has limited or hardware had limit?

Is the acceleration limit set properly?

The speed should work, although I don’t use grbl or ugs often.

$120, 121 and 122 = 10 that is fine?

That is mm/sec/sec, I believe. So that means it will take 10s to reach 100 mm/sec. That is pretty low. The defaults for the mpcnc is 180 for XY and 80 for Z, and those are conservative. Try bumping it up.
