Nema 17 and nema 23 steppers

Hello you all, I´m going to start printing the parts to assemble the MPCNC but I have an issue. I already have 2 nema 17 with 16t pulley attached, and 3 nema 23 with larger pulleys. Can I use them and give differents steps per mm for each axis? That way I can use them in pairs and a nema 23 for the z. Otherwise i will have to order some new steppers.

Yes if you can mount them the firmware can be edited to work.

Thank you. I will be looking for anyone that modified the printed parts to some nema 23. I am sure there will be someone using them.
