Old Primo Parts - New build

Hi. I bought all the Primo parts when it came out 1". I am finally getting around to building it (life…).

I am trying to put on the belt tighteners. The don’t seem to fit in the square holes. They all seem oversized, some misshaped.

Please advise.

Thank you,

Greg

With so little information, it is hard to know if this is a manufacturing problem or an assembly problem. There are four different types of tighteners, and they are not all square, nor is the receptacle hole necessarily square. Start by comparing the STL files to the parts you printed to identify the upper tighteners. They have a more distinctive shape. Then you can compare the upper holes to the shape to figure out which one is mirrored.

See the shape here:

If the parts are close to a fit but just a bit tight, sanding could help. If you are sure you have the right part for the right hole, and it still does not fit, I suggest you 3D print and measure a calibration block to make sure the parts coming off the printer are the correct size.
