Rambo board help

Ok I think I see what’s going on…I swapped the fuses and now the board won’t boot, which means my solder hack didn’t work. So the fuse for the motors was still blown, but when I put them back after checking them I’d switched them. I’ll try again when the fuses come in the mail. Thanks guys for sticking with me

Ok I’m up and running, thanks a ton!

Things I learned:

The 1.3 Rambo and previous versions have a different wiring on the end

you have to pigtail the connectors to cover both motor and logic power ports

I THINK the fuses have polarity. I felt like I was having differing success based on where the writing was.

I’d blown one fuse which prevented the motors from going, even when wired correctly. Then when Messing with it I swapped it with the logic one. Keeping fuses straight, esp. when one blows is important.

i ordered three new fuses. After more fiddling I just swapped in two brand new ones, kept the writing the same, and all worked!

now I’m plotting to test it out and get a hang for the process of using it. Ryan, Thankyou so much for the support and for this project. I never dreamed I’d own my own CNC, and this is just awesome

Fuses don’t have polarity. They’re just a light bulb that doesn’t glow.
