Well, you proved your self a boyscout…being prepared and all!

I see how chasing decimal points could be a problem. Also the crown is more visually pleasing than any geometric pattern.

In my case, i.e. loose gears, I’d almost convinced myself my crown test was correct.

If I had plotted a square and the corners were inconsistently rounded or the ends didn’t meet up I’d have been looking for assembly issues and then been on the forums.

In any case, again, thank you for all your effort.

Perhaps you should instruct newbies to print the crown and then a geometric pattern.

I’ve purchase a micro micro carbon fiber drone frame. My first “real” CNC project is going to be etching Returns to Sender instructions on it. I’m aware that carbon fiber coatings can be noxious and that the fiber dust is an irritant.
