Made a super simple magnetic knife bar for a friend who forged a chef/kitchen knife for me. The “T” is part of his logo.

How thin do you have to be in order for the magnets to have enough adhesion?

I believe I did an 1/8th of an inch. I tried a few different magnets but ended up using

I had my wife pick up two of the Ikea magnetic bars. A friend of mine makes custom knives and I ordered two kitchen knives from him. I want to hang them and a few of my more used knives on the wall and put the rest in a knife block in a drawer.
