Stepper Wiring for SKR PRO

What is the Color code for steppers attached to SKR Pro 1.2 board?

Stepper motors don’t use a reliable color code. The steppers run on 2 separate coils, often designated A and B. If you short two wires together and the motor gets harder to turn, you’ve identified one coil. Check the board documentation for the wiring sequence. (I don’t have the SKR board, so can’t help with that specific model).

You should be able to plug your stepper wires in directly to the control board ignoring the color coding . If the motor spins in the wrong direction when you attempt to move, simply flip the plug in the socket. While as as Tom says, there is no reliable color code, all four-wire steppers I’ve ever dealt with match the pinout of the common stepper drivers with respect to energizing coils. The worst things that happens is that the stepper spins the wrong way for your particular application. In fact given the mirrored aspect of the two steppers on each axis of the MPCNC, one the steppers has to spin the “wrong” (backwards) way with respect to the other stepper.
