300mm LeadScrew and Nut T8 4 start 2mm pitch 8mm/Rev.

Can someone explain to me the description on the T8 lead screw that is sold here?

What is with the “4 start 2mm pitch 8mm/Rev”?

Is it a 8mm diameter shaft with 2mm pitch throught out the length of the shaft? I think that is what it is but I am not sure.

Sorry if it’s a dumb/newbie question.

  • Tr8*8-2p (4 starts)
  • Lead Screw Diameter ∅ 8 (mm)
  • Pitch: 2mm
  • Lead: 8mm
It is not a single thread like common hardware it is 4 threads, 8mm in diameter, and moves 8mm per revolution. Does that answer your question?
