sry if this has been asked before, but i plan on having a 48x72 inch work area, but the table calculator on this site says my over all table should be 55x85 inches. The width i am fine with, but do i need to have that much over hang on the length?
If you want the bit to go all the way to the end of your 72" you do. That’s the width of the low rider cart, basically. You could make the rails extend that far and not the table, if you want.

My rails stick out 6 inches past either end.
Cool. I never built the extension pieces, but I cant believe they wouldnt work. I’m interested in hearing how it works for you.
