Too Much Spindle Motor?

I am building my MPCNC on a budget and trying to get by with what I have, at least until I have the money to purchase certain things for a specific purpose. One of these things is the spindle motor. Eventually, I’ll get one of the recommended Dewalt units. I have a number of other pieces that I can use in the meantime. I would consider most to be underpowered. But, the one I would really like to use might be overpowered or overweight. It is the spindle motor out of a single speed Craftsman plunge router. It weighs about 5.2 pounds, has a motor rating of 9.5 amps and tops out at 25,000 RPM.

My main concern is the weight. But, any concerns shared by others would be welcome. Thoughts?

Yea, that’s a little heavy for a mpcnc. Pretty sure that would be pushing it for the lowrider.

Well, that’s unfortunate, but not unexpected. At least I have other options, but none even close to the Dewalt. Thanks for the information!
