I’m not from an English speaking country, so please bear with me, I will try my best to make me understand.
I’m considering making the 525 25,4mm update, but before starting printing I like to analyze by CAD what I’m about to print. That also gives me a very good idea of how everything is assembled.
So while doing this, one thing felt weird, there is a difference between corner tube centers and middle tube centers.
Here the distance between centers is of 29.4mm
There are some tolerances, 25,8mm tubes can fit, so a 0,4mm offset.
Everything tight down theoretically will give a center-center distance of 29mm
I think I got it, it’s for adjusting the tension between X and Y.
Correct me if wrong.
EDIT: Uoppss… And did the cad middle assembly wrong. It’s actually 27.5mm
So between 29 and 27.5 it’s just 1.5mm. Yup, don’t mind this thread… pretty sure it’s for the tension.
PS: I’m impressed by this new middle and the way the threaded rod fits now. Well done Ryan
The F and J corner assemblies have a change log for the corner pieces that have been labeled with a “2” The locks should be the same but I revved them anyway to be safe. For most people this is not a big deal, not worth reprinting your parts.
