V1Pi cnc.js issues

Sorry totally new to this.

I am using SKR 1.4 Turbo and a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B where I installed V1Pi. I was able to get everything wired up and Octoprint allows me to connect and I can go to the control page and move the motors. However CNC.js does not connect and actually seems to crash and a hard boot is required to get it started again.

Any suggestions on what I might need to do or not do?

You shouldn’t need to hard boot the pi to clean out cncjs. Returning to the landing page, there is a button to reset the service.

There may be something new in the protocol that is jamming up cncjs. Have you tried updating it? I need to cut a newer version.

I will give that a try. I installed the latest cnc.js on my laptop and was able to control the stepper motors without issue from there.

I need to stop Octoprint from the main V1Pi page, or sign into it and disconnect the serial port first before I can connect CNC.js to the machine.

Try stopping OctoPrint at the main page, then go into CNC.js and set the connection parameters, then hit Open on the port.
