What to edit in firmware for creality 4.2.2 board or skr mini e3 2.0

So I have just upgraded my ender 3 pro to a scr mini e3 2.0 and now I have a spare Creality V4.2.2 Stock board leftover. I am a novice at firmware editing but I was thinking that I can just use this creality stock board for running my mpcnc that I have made. I don’t have a current board for my cnc so I thought this would work well. I also could potentially get a skr mini for the cnc instead if it is that much better but here are my problems.

  1. I don’t know if I need to edit the firmware for the cnc. I can flash firmware at my skill level pretty easily but I need step by step guides to know exactly what to change in the code.
  2. I cant seem to find anywhere what to set the potentiometer on the stepper drivers to in order to run 2 stepper motors on one axis driver.
