Where should my collet nut be in relation to the bottom of the Z-Axis...

I’m using the Makita compact router (Makita RT0701C) for this build. I’ve printed the Thingiverse mount (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1759272) that a lot of people seem to like but I’m keeping Ryan’s original tool mount plate.

With this arrangement I think I have to screw in from the BACK of that mount plate onto the tool mount.

There is quite a range of height choices here so I’m wondering… where should the bottom of the tool’s collet nut be in relation to the bottom of the z-axis conduit?

About an inch below the bottom of the tubes. You still might run into issues if you’re ever doing 3d carvings, but you can move it then. Try to keep it as high as possible.
