Which end mill to buy?

I have just orederd a Makita RT0700CX4 router and I am planning on using this mounting bracket and this dust boot. I will probably use my MPCNC to cut mostly MDF and plywood, but will probably also try some pine and oak also. With that in mind, I was unsure as to what type of end mill to buy? Looking at the store (I am un the UK so it would be impractical to order from there) it looks as if a 3mm 2 flute end mill looks to be a good bet? If so, does this one look like a good choice?

TIA

I would look for a single flute 3mm.

Hi Ryan, thanks for your advice. Can I ask why a single flute over a double flute? I’m new to this and I’m not sure what kind of bits I should be using and why.

We use really high RPM “spindles”, to keep the feed rate reasonable we need less teeth.

Each flute needs a specific chip load, a generic way to think of it is 1/2 the teeth, half the feed rate. For our machine and the routers we use a single flute bit is much more forgiving for a beginner. The feed rate vs RPM window for a good cut is twice a large.

Okay, that makes sense, thanks for the advice!
