Wii Joystick Remote

Has anyone tried to add the wii joystick to the MPCNC or Lowrider?

Tindie has a breakout board for the Wii nunchuck, I was planning to interface it with an Arduino to make it actually as a standalone controller, but currently I have the regular wiimote connected via Bluetooth to a raspberry pi to use as a jog controller. The pi also runs the gcode sender.

That specific project uses custom grbl firmware and a custom board.

Aaron, Have you posted about this? How are you doing this? This was my first thought when trying to add a jog controller. More specifically, I want a plugin to CNC.js (and octoprint, really) for a generic linux joystick input. There is support for so mamy controllers that way, including wiimotes, ps3 remotes and just USB or wireless USB controllers.

I haven’t posted about this before, but basically I found some libraries that will allow a wiimote to act as an input device like a regular controller, and then map those to the same keyboard shortcuts in bCNC.
