X Tube Length compared to table size?

Before I build my full size table I’d like to get everything running on my existing workbench… so I plan to buy an extra set of X tubes (I assume the ‘rail’ calculation on the calculator is the length of the tubing?)

Anyways… rather than sizing for a certain cutting area I need to size for a specific table width. If my workbench is say 36" wide, then how much wider do I need the X tubes?

If you have another look at the calc it gives you table width, just play with the inputs a bit and you will get to what you need.

Thanks, looks like it’s an additional 2.9 inches over the width of the table.
