3D Carving of a Book with text

Using Vectric (free trial here) I imported a 3D model of a book - then using the project toolpath onto 3D model added some vcarved text into it.

I used a 1/4 inch bit from here to do the roughing. Then used this tapered ball nose bit from here to do the finishing on the 3D model. Then I used a 1/4 inch 60 degree vbit from here for the text. Finally did the cutout using the 1/4 inch bit mentioned for the roughing.

Wow, that must have taken the better part of a whole day to design, figure out the paths and tool changes, and run the cut.

Nice work!

This is one of the coolest things I have seen made on a CNC. Great work! I only wish I had the patience to do something like this.

What post processor did you use. I am looking to use Cut2D from Vectric.
