525 plate mount for my Katsu

What is the thinking about mounting directly on to the z conduit instead of mounting onto the 525 mount plate.

I’m considering this mount for my Katsu trim router, but I remember that the 525 mount plate plays a role in truing the z conduit (the bit where you lay it on a flat table before tightening).

If anyone does have a mount to recommend for the Katsu or Makita it’s a clone of, I’d be grateful.

I take it using a universal mount to attach a router isn’t secure enough.
