This Bosch Router is on sale and looks pretty slick. Does anyone have experience with it? What I’m trying to figure out is that if I were to get it, would it fit Makita Router mount.
It’s currently on sale on Amazon for $90.
Looks very much comparable to the Makita.
Like the Makita, comes with a 1/4" collet only. I had reasonably good luck with the adapter, but ended up buying a 1/8" collet from Ryan because fewer parts in the tool holder is fewer things to go wrong.
It appears as though the barrel might fit in the same holder as the Makita. If not you will need to develop one. This should be simple enough, but consider that as a potential expense in your time.
I like Bosch tools, my jigsaw and drill are both Bosch, though most of my power tools are Makita. They’ve both put up with a lot of hard use, and have been solid and reliable.
