How to extend hotend wire of extruder?

I have bought MK8 style extruder from Vicious1 shop. Now setting up my MPCNC as 3D Printer but the Red wires of hotend are shorter because my RAMPS is located bit away from the machine. I was looking in the internet how the heat insulation on the hotend wire is called but couldn’t find any info about.

Is it possible to extend this wire with 20 AWG (0.5 mm2) wire? Is any special heat insulation needed?

You can extend what is there with normal wire. The wire should not get hot.
