On Reusable cable ties, one of the guys i follow on Youtube in Aviation uses these reusable cable ties. They are also rubber lined to not damage your cables…
A tech I used to work with would use waxed string for wire management instead of zip ties, so the wire insulation wouldn’t get cut.
At my workplace, we have a few machines that are very old russian and german machines ~60+ years old and the cable management is done with string or twine, which was likely waxed many years ago… 
the craftsmanship of the wiring layout on the old machines is really something to see.
Unfortunately modern electricians just do what they need to, to rectify an issue, not dressing the cables neatly like it was found.
