Machined Aluminium Parts Rather Than Printed?

I have access to a full 5-axis CNC manufacturing machine and am wondering if cutting a set of parts would produce a better set of parts? Or would it not be worth the effort. I want to be able to do full 4’ x 8’ sheets of plywood.

It works as is on a full sheet, but a set of the XZ mains in aluminum would be sexy!!!

That might work, but only if you sent me a set to. I’ll take a ‘B’ set, I’m not picky on finish

I’ve thought it might be fun exercise to come up with a fixturing system to mill it on the mpcnc. If I had a 5 axis mill I would have done it a long time ago!

I did my plate pices out of aluminum 1/8th:

There was some debate if it’d be stiff enough, but seems to be great so far. All the deflection in mine either comes from belts or the X axis piping.

Took my MPCNC and created the sides out of 1/4" and then did a hybrid of 1/8" and PLA on the carriage.
