Minimum recommended size

Is there a minimum recommended size for the MPCNC? The default seems to be a work area of 300mmx300mm, but I was thinking of building my first one with a total size of 500mmx500mm, which would give me a build area of 236mmx236mm. This is just an initial build for me, and I don’t have a mass of space. If I want it bigger in future I just buy more conduit, correct?

Just want to understand if I’ll run into problems with a build that small.

Also the belts, and wires, but you could plan ahead and leave some extra material.
