Hello,
I have been trying to connect the ramp to my computer, but all that happens is I get a printer side error. I have no idea how to use an arduino, I doubt I have the steppers connected correctly since the wiring I got doesn’t match the assembly pictures.
Please help.
Where did you get your ramps from? Do you have my wiring kit? Do you have a resistor on terminal t0?
I got everything from you, yes and I thought I got the wiring kit, it doesn’t seem to have those extra wire connectors.

There should be a resistor in the bag with the pulleys and 3 bearings plug it in and you should be good to go.
You also have a steppers plugged into a port with no driver and a drive stepper plugged into the extruder port, did you set the voltage on the extra driver? You aren’t using my wiring harness in the picture.
What does the resistor look like?
…and what are the wire harnesses? The zip ties?
How do I install the resistor and where do the steppers go?
That last link walks you through every step.
Clearly, I am having trouble understanding your tutorials. I would really appreciate some additional instructions please.
Well… I’ve been trying to assemble this for about a year now to no avail. You said it would be no more difficult to build than a PC, it is clearly far more difficult. Is there any money back offer?

Hi Sarah. You’ll get there. Although I’m not sure why it’s been a year.
This is the link to Ryan’s instructions on how to connect the resistor (shows where it goes) and the stepper motor wires. RAMPS Wiring There are 2 pictures for the steppers, one shows which Axis (X, Y, Z) belongs to each driver. The other shows the wires beside each corresponding driver. Make sure what you have matches the pictures ok. Then let us know how that works and what you need next.
The information is all there somewhere on the assembly section though. Just have a look through and make sure you follow each step precisely and it should go quite smoothly.

Look through the steps and either tell us what doesn’t make sense, or show a picture.
You are trying to figure out how to plug the ramps in , but You do not have it wired up correctly and I think you should get that sorted out before we deal with the computer part.
