The setup for support material is disabled here (https://www.v1engineering.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/sl4.png). does that mean I can’t use support with the MPCNC?

No, certainly not. You can choose to use supports when you need them. It’s good practice to leave this setting off otherwise because the program may add supports unnecessarily.
