what would be the reason to not choose for a stepper with integrated lead screw and stick to the stepper + coupler + lead screw setup?
I attached a picture of a stepper with integrated lead screw.
The coupler allows it to be a little bit misaligned. You need to have a really straight shot at the leadscrew nuts and if the nut doesn’t align perfectly with the motor, it will bind up. The coupler lets the motor be a little misaligned, but still turns the leadscrew precisely, so doesn’t affect the Z.
